The PedalPower Youth Bike Program teaches school children how to safely ride bikes. As of the start of the 2025-2026 school year, every 4th and 5th grader in the Ashland School District will learn and practice on-bike skills. The program runs on volunteers and donations. The Senior Services Division empowers older adults by promoting healthy aging, well-being, dignity, and independence. We offer support services and a variety of free or low cost recreational, health promotion, and educational opportunities at the Ashland Senior Center and other locations. We help meet the diverse needs of seniors and their families throughout Ashland, and build community partnerships to expand their opportunities. The Ashland Senior Advisory Committee advises Ashland Parks and Recreation Commissioners on matters related to the Senior Services Division and advocates for the needs of seniors.
A permanent public art installation looking to celebrate the power and resilience of Black voices while building bridges toward a collective culture of inclusion and legitimate understanding. This installation aims to create a dialogue about race, unite Rogue Valley residents of all backgrounds, and serve as a declaration of our commitment to forging a community of acceptance, communication, and inclusivity in a real and sustainable way.
